- The Content Editor will be someone who wants to solve content challenges and can see the big picture for what the future can and should be, while being able to act upon that vision and drive the work forward today. We are seeking a strategic thinker who loves to pull together disparate thoughts, ideas, and activities and bring them together to provide an ideal solution.
Typical task breakdown:
- Provide ongoing content support related to content updating and analyzing. Deliverables are typically Excel sheets and graphs and PowerPoint decks.
- Content editor will be an expert in Excel being able to pull reports, manipulate data and create easily digestible graphs and charts.
- Write and review SEO-optimized content to support business needs; edits content as required.
- Working with product groups to keep part taxonomy up-to-date. You will take in feedback from product groups and create the best user-experience.
- Project management experience - the Content Editor will be able to own projects from conception to completion with keen attention to detail and organization.
- Apply ethical SEO best practices when performing tasks such as keyword research, competitive analysis, meta tag creation, and social media optimization.
- Work closely with SEO manager to help optimize product titles and descriptions.
- Deep understanding of content development. The Content Editor will work closely with the development team.
- Work cross-functionally with internal business partners to understand content needs.
Education & Experience Required:
- Four-year bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related field
Technical Skills
(Required)
- 3-5 years of experience writing web or technical content
- Experience using keyword research tools to extract insights and actionable data
- Experience managing a website taxonomy
- SEO experience
- Experience with a PIM
- Ideally has experience in construction or a related field
- Excel and presentation skills
- Experience as a digital marketing copywriter or similar content producer
- Desire to continually learn, research, and evolve based on changing SEO strategies and various behaviors of online search engines while considering global differences
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Attention to detail
