Digital Reporter

The Hereford Times has an exciting vacancy for a digital reporter. Ideally, we want someone experienced at covering local news specifically for an online audience. But we will also consider a trainee who demonstrates enthusiasm and a track record of using social media to keep themselves informed about what is going on in their community. We would then help them to become a fully qualified journalist through on-the-job training and a free programme of studies with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). The successful candidate will be reporting on a wide range of subjects. They will need to have an excellent grasp of written English (including grammar and spelling), be comfortable using video and social media, and have a basic understanding of SEO and digital analytics.
