Investopedia seeks an eager, organized Associate Editor of Special Projects to help create best-in-class content and multimedia packages that engage readers on such topics as retirement planning, homebuying, investing, and managing money as a young adult. You will support the planning, production, and launch of annual packages, ensuring the online and print content is as accurate, thorough, and inclusive as possible.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping readers understand complex topics and eager to grow their knowledge about investing and personal finance. Editorial experience is essential, as is a keen attention to detail, excellent communication and project organization skills, and an “act now, not later” attitude. We’re looking for a creative editor who wants to expand their professional skills beyond writing and copy editing.
About the Role
Support special project team leaders to execute editorial projects, which may include multiple components, including but not limited to online articles, social media content, video, and print magazine features
Assist with freelance assignment planning and distribution, including basic SEO research and writing detailed assignment instructions
Research, produce, and fact-check content as necessary
Collaborate with other Investopedia teams, such social media, video, design, sales, and marketing
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Routinely contribute new ideas for written and visual content
About You
2+ years of editorial experience at reputable publishing brands, preferably in personal finance, investing, or financial news
Excellent project management skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
Solution-oriented and will reach out to key members of editorial teams on your own to overcome challenges and solve problems
Detail-oriented and extremely organized
Enjoy learning new skills and topics in a fast-paced environment
Interest in the business side of editorial publishing
Knowledge of AP Style and SEO a plus, but not required

Pay Range
Salary: $64,200 - $67,250
