This beat offers a great opportunity to write enterprising features on everything from coal plant fights to solar power breakthroughs. We’re looking for an experienced reporter and idea generator who can write both sharp daily stories and then take a step back to offer deep dives for our knowledgeable and well-connected readers. You’ll have opportunities to travel to get a first-hand look at how federal and state policies affect people and energy industries across the region. You’ll be part of a team of 14 reporters covering various aspects of the energy sector, including the Department of Energy, White House, state politics, renewables, fossil fuels, the electric grid, electric vehicles, law and clean tech.
