Editor

Newspaper group located in Elk County, Pennsylvania has an immediate opening for an Editor. The successful candidate will write stories along with plan, coordinate and revise news content for the print and online edition for three community newspapers. The editor will review story ideas and decide what material will appeal most to readers along with working with the editorial staff to edit and continually improve the products. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong interest in current events and the community, the ability to thrive under deadlines and experience with In-Design software. Previous experience as a journalist, photographer and proofreader are expected. A minimum of a 2-year degree in the area of communications, journalism, English or creative writing preferred.
