Are you a talented writer and editor who wants to cover the latest developments in sustainability, climate technology, and the politics of the built environment?
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated journalist to join the communications and publishing team at AIRAH. We are the peak professional membership body for engineers and senior technicians designing and maintaining smart building systems – think about the quality of the indoor air we breathe, the climate comfort that drives behaviour, the freshness of the food we eat, and net zero outcomes for the world we all want. With a proud 100-year history, AIRAH is a progressive not-for-profit organisation working towards a better future.
The role covers a range of editorial responsibilities. As an editor, you’ll have ownership for producing the HVAC&R News bi-monthly print title, and for managing the HVAC&R News website, as well as its associated fortnightly newsletter. You will also be involved in researching, writing, editing and sub-editing feature stories, assisting the Communications Manager and contributing writers, sourcing images and preparing AIRAH’s suite of magazines, online communication, social media and corporate collateral for production.
The position presents an outstanding opportunity to work with a tight, talented and supportive team on issues that make a difference to our world. A competitive salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Email your application – including cover letter, CV, and two samples of your writing – to AIRAH communications manager Matthew Dillon at matt.dillon@airah.org.au by Thursday, September 28.
