Editorial Director

Richmond Magazine is seeking an editorial director to oversee the publication of the monthly Richmond magazine, the bimonthly shelter magazine R•Home, and two yearly issues of Richmond Bride. The ideal candidate will be a journalism professional with at least 7 years of experience in a newsroom in a managerial role. The successful candidate will possess a deep knowledge of the Richmond region and have the ability to lead a team to produce a lively, award-winning magazine and website that contributes to the community and illuminates the region’s past, present and future. You must have excellent organizational, time-management and leadership skills and be able to generate original and compelling story ideas. Copy editing skills and knowledge of AP Style are required. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in journalism.
