Encinitas Beat Reporter

The Coast News Group, publishers of The Coast News and Inland Edition, is looking for a reporter in the San Diego area who has the experience to produce a wide range of stories from the city of Encinitas, with a focus primarily on city government, politics, investigative pieces and human-interest features.

A bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field AND at least one year of newsroom experience is preferred. On a weekly basis, reporters are expected to write stories, take pictures (with captions), create brief videos and share original content on The Coast News' social media platforms. Reporters are expected to submit 4 to 5 stories per week.
