Deputy Editor, Reporting (remote)

Endpoints News is the biotech and pharmaceutical industry's most important source of daily news, and we're looking for a deputy editor to help coach and grow a team of reporters to deliver reporting-driven, exclusive news on the biopharma industry that readers can't get anywhere else. This will include everything from daily turns on the biggest stories to enterprise work that will generate impact. The right editor has experience in healthcare, a track record of working with reporters to develop scoops, and is a strong coach who can grow the skills of our staff. The role will involve recruiting and working directly with a group of beat-focused reporters, while also building bridges across our newsroom with other journalists to improve their reporting skills, help them identify and complete ambitious work, and grow their careers inside Endpoints. Success will be measured in scoops and stories that have impact, while remaining disciplined about our focus as a specialty publication. The right candidate will be entrepreneurial and ambitious, and ready to expand their job description as we grow as a newsroom. This role reports to the executive editor, and will work closely with our other editorial leaders to collaborate on coverage, help identify talent inside and outside the newsroom, and take our reporting and writing to the next level. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years as an editor or manager.
