Enterprise Reporter

The Dickinson Press is seeking a versatile and energetic enterprise reporter to western North Dakota. We are looking for someone with a clear understanding of how to dig for a story, research it, write it with an edge and use strong storytelling to make it impactful and memorable. The ideal candidate is an aggressive reporter with deep curiosity and unrelenting commitment to get to the bottom of an issue and hold individuals accountable. The ideal candidate will have experience reporting in a newspaper or digital newsroom and be proficient in data analysis and other computer-assisted reporting skills. This person will work to enterprise and break local stories regularly, as well as work on longer term special projects. Must have experience producing multimedia stories and capable of generating photos, videos and infographics. Applicants should provide a portfolio of such examples with a sound understanding of the open records, sunshine and FOIA processes.
