Photojournalist

The Bulletin, a daily newspaper and digital news site that garners 1.2 million pageviews a month, is seeking a talented, driven photojournalist to complement our award-winning news team. Located in Bend, Oregon, a tourist mecca for the Pacific Northwest, The Bulletin covers a wide array of news, sports and features for Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook counties. You will be part of a two-person team, receiving photo assignments from editors, but also working as a self-starter when it comes to seeking out illustrative photos. As The Bulletin transitions to grow its digital and social media platforms, strong photography is key to attracting and keeping our readership numbers high. The work is demanding. Nearly all of our local stories are accompanied with local photography. A working knowledge of Photoshop and social media is a must, as is a college degree in journalism or related field. We want our employees to build their careers here. As such, we offer opportunities for photographers to attend workshops to stay ahead in their field, as well as study videography, video editing or fly drones for photos and video.
