Embrace is responsible for creating, producing and distributing the content euronews makes for its commercial clients ranging from branded content to sponsored content across all our media platforms. We need a talented writer/researcher with a passion for topics that dominate the corporate agenda for branded content and events/debates. Topics such as the digitalisation of healthcare, the road to net zero, the impact of AI on business and productivity, the electrification of mobility and so on. We’ll need someone who can construct interesting debate concepts around trending topics in the corporate space and come up with guest ideas to ensure our debates are not only impactful but also represent all sections of society with their diversity. The individual will also be needed to write concepts for brand films and sponsored content to ensure we continue to respond to briefs and proactive requests from sales with first class content solutions in an efficient and timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and a good understanding of the creative production process around sponsored and branded content. With some experience of how editorial debates and events are produced. You will also need to have good research skills and be able to manage multiple workflows.
The candidate will be directly supporting the Senior Content Solutions Manager who is responsible to putting together proposals for external clients, either by responding to briefs or as part of a pro-active pitch.
This role will need someone who can be based at our London office and immediately strike a rapport with our teams of sales professionals, producers and support staff.
Your role, as Development Writer in embrace will be to:
Primarily write concepts for debates and events (as well as sponsored and branded content proposals) around a wide range of topics that are trending in the business and corporate space.
Conduct thorough research on various trending topics so euronews is at the cutting edge of developments in the business and corporate space. Which means staying across developments in crucial sectors like healthcare, aviation, automation and finance.
Stay up-to-date with the trending topics for debates and events taking place in Brussels so euronews can differentiate its offer for clients and stay ahead of the competition.
Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and generate unique content ideas that align with clients' objectives and target audiences.
Offer up guest ideas for debates to ensure we have the most impactful conversations with the most prominent and newsworthy business and political leaders available. With a particular focus on the news makers in and around the Brussels bubble.
Create compelling concepts that outline the key points, structure, and objectives for each piece of content.
Platform agnostic: Develop content ideas for debates as well as a wide range of formats from TV shows to brand films.
Creativity and Originality: Ensure all content ideas are original, well-researched, and provide value to the target audience.
Incorporate SEO best practices into content ideation to enhance visibility and organic search performance.
Collaborate with the editorial team to refine and optimize content ideas based on feedback and insights.
Think visually: Collaborate with the Senior Content Solutions Manager to develop visual concepts and ideas that enhance the overall visual impact of our ideas.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of each client's brand voice, target audience, and content objectives.
External focus: Stay abreast of the competitive landscape to identify content gaps and opportunities.
Forward looking: Assist in developing content calendars and schedules to ensure timely delivery of content ideas.
Communicate ideas: Attend client meetings and presentations to present content ideas and gather feedback.
Resolve issues as they arise: The ideal individual for this role will need a flexible approach to work and able to deal with issues as they arise and work closely with the Head of Brand Films to solve issues and offer workable solutions.
Diverse Subject Matter: The ideal candidate will have experience of writing about trending corporate and business topics but also be able to turn their hand to a broad range of subject matters should the need arise.
