Tech Writer (FTC)

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Demand Partner Solutions team, responsible for creating best-in-class Developer and Technical documentation, that will unlock value for our partners, and help millions of travelers to find the best travel products for their next unforgettable trip.

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to lead our most critical and highly visible products.

Expedia For Business is our Business to Business (B2B) division, powering thousands of travel partners globally. We build technology that connects travel agents, OTAs, airlines, and more, with the biggest lodging inventory in the world, enabling millions of travelers to plan unforgettable adventures every day.

What You’ll Do

Research and write entertaining, accurate, and high-quality content to build, maintain, and grow our Partner facing Developer Hub
Write well with a solid foundation in the English language, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar
Ensure all written content stays consistent with the brand tone-of-voice. We write in a fun and conversational manner to express our real passion for travel. We don’t like cliches, and we never stuff our sentences with meaningless filler
Research, cross-reference and summarize information quickly and simply
Display a sincere interest in the success of the team
Be willing to really contribute in order to deliver outcomes
Be enthusiastic within your role to achieve goals within deadlines and/or beyond what is expected
Work collaboratively with teams of product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to deliver vital experiences for our developer population
Conduct teardowns, industry reviews and product innovations as they relate to your projects and deliverables
Plan, write, edit, test and improve content including interface language, product education materials, product names, navigational nomenclature, interaction flows, product tours and transactional emails

Who You Are

You should be passionate about writing to a developer/technical audience with examples of your work ready to show. A passion for writing is more important than a university degree
Energetic self-starter who can think creatively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ensure work is completed to a high standard and on time
Ability to take ownership and responsibility
Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Works well under pressure and can adapt to a dynamic online environment
Understanding of development, sourcing, and governance of both structured and unstructured content types
A love for experimentation and an ability to move quickly when required
Good sense of humor
