Role Overview

The Expert Writer’s goal is to improve the user experience of machine learning models. The Expert Writer does this by evaluating and editing the output of machine learning models, making improvements to fluency, accuracy, groundedness, etc of the language output. The Expert Writer should assure that the content generated is accurate and is appropriate to the intent of the output with the aim of improving the performance of the language model (LLM) performance.

This role will have an initial duration of 6 months with possibility of being permanent after that time.
Main duties

Conduct research, produce, and edit written materials across various formats, such as short blog entries, emails, concise essays, story outlines, digests, cover letters, poetry, among others. Maintain strict adherence to factual precision and stylistic guidelines for voice and creativity.
Respond to prompts that may involve sensitive subjects, and generate content that complies with rigorous ethical and content standards.
Foster an extensive understanding of biases and cultural nuances relevant to sensitive subject matters.
Evaluate model-generated outputs for potential biases, offensive language, or inappropriate responses
Verify facts and cross-check information to assure the trustworthiness and reliability of the content.
Awareness about the most recent developments in natural language processing, machine learning and AI.
Engage in periodic training evaluations and share feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Expertise in technical writing tasks
3+ years professional experience as a copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, translator etc
English Native Level
Availability to work in PST time zone
Outstanding linguistic and grammatical skills know-how with the ability to adapt the writing style and tone of voice as needed in each context
Basic knowledge of AI data structures and approaches
Awareness of AI ethics and bias importance in machine learning and language generation
