Layout Artist

Wonder what it's like to finish your shift and walk out the office door under the aurora borealis? Want to drive by some moose on your way to work? Love to go fishing or hiking or skiing or... you get the idea. You can get all that and more by becoming a layout artist for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. The News-Miner is the second-largest newspaper in the largest state in the nation, and we cover a huge geographic range with a wide variety of stories. We publish seven days a week. Some experience at a copy desk is important but not necessary. What’s essential is being skilled at page design, line editing, meeting deadlines, and getting along with colleagues.
