Editor/Reporter

FairWarning (www.fairwarning.org), a nonprofit investigative news organization based in Southern California, is seeking an editor/reporter to join our dedicated, hard-working team. We’re looking for someone who shares our sense of mission, with strong news judgment and a deft writing touch, and a demonstrated ability to handle detailed investigative and explanatory stories, both as an editor and reporter.

FairWarning recently marked our 10th anniversary. We produce deeply reported stories that appear on our website and in print, online and broadcast editions of dozens of media outlets across the country. We focus on public health, consumer, labor and environmental issues, and related topics of government and business accountability.

Applicants should have a minimum of eight years of professional journalism experience, including newsroom experience. Candidates who live in Southern California or are able to relocate here may get preference. A background in the issues we cover is a big plus.
