Curated Content Editor

The Financial Times is hiring an Editor of Curated Content to join our Hong Kong newsroom.

Newsletters, curated content and social media are a core part of the FT’s engagement strategy. As the FT continues to bring digital storytelling into the heart of our news operation, we need talented digital journalists focussed on producing innovative journalism across our onsite and off-site platforms.

This role will be the Asia lead for the FT’s curation and social media teams, which span London and New York. The role involves composing, editing and promoting Financial Times newsletters, including the Europe edition of the flagship daily FirstFT morning briefing, and developing new editorial products.

The role is also responsible for overseeing the FT’s social media output during the Asia newsday and coordinating across time zones in the early UK morning, the FT’s busiest publishing window. As such, a deep familiarity with social media best practices is essential, as is an eagerness to contribute to newsroom content planning discussions.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter who is passionate about getting ahead of the day’s big stories. Close collaboration with the greater Audience Engagement team is a key part of the role, as the team helps drive creative and dynamic journalism across the FT’s global editorial operations.
