Financial Times

Deputy UK News Editor and Brexit Editor
We’re looking for a deputy UK news editor and Brexit editor to join the FT. The coronavirus crisis, while rooted in a public health emergency, will have far reaching consequences for UK politics, the economy and business for years to come. Public services led by education and health have been hugely disrupted, the economy is burdened with an enormous deficit and weak productivity, and many companies ran up large borrowings which now threaten to overwhelm them. Boris Johnson, who has been accused of multiple failures in the Covid-19 pandemic, is meanwhile struggling to define a reform agenda that goes beyond coronavirus, including on “levelling up” underperforming UK regions, and the foreign policy objectives of “global Britain”.
