Communications & Media Relations Specialist

Assists in development of communications that position First Commonwealth's image in a positive and community-oriented way. Prepares articles and press releases for distribution to media. Monitors media coverage and prepares monthly and quarterly media reports summarizing First Commonwealth's frequency and type of media coverage. Establishes First Commonwealth as a Financial Confidence subject matter expert with media through media exposure, communications with key members of the media and organizations/associations that have an interest in financial industry. Identifies internal subject matter experts and determines plan to proactively position them as media resources. Prepares strategic communications, speeches, presentations and scripts for use by leadership. Identifies opportunities for strategic internal communications. Contributes to innovation of new ways to distribute company communications, both internally and externally. Supports oversight of company Intranet including design, navigation, and content; keeps content updated and relevant. Plans and executes corporate meetings and events, taking an active role as needed.
