This role requires a journalist with a demonstrated interest in driving traffic while reporting on contemporary streetwear trends, sneakers and the culture of the sneaker-obsessed community, lifestyle topics and viral news. This position is for a writer who is in-the-know and thinks creatively, critically, and analytically about content that attracts a high-volume readership and authentically reaches its audience. Coverage includes news in real-time in addition to feature stories, interviews and evergreen reporting. This role is based in New York or LA.

Responsibilities

Daily production of stories.
Ability to take direction and feedback and manage time efficiently with a fast-paced workload.
Achieve robust volume and traffic targets.

Requirements

Must have demonstrated an understanding of metrics-based strategies.
Commitment to covering content with success is defined by traffic performance.
Journalistic excellence covering sneakers and streetwear culture at recognized publications with 3-4+ years of experience.
Attention to detail, including following specific best practices that directly impact traffic.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Trends.
Can-do, positive, cooperative, collaborative, and highly motivated attitude.

Typical wage range: $52k - $65k
