Position Overview
The Production Team is responsible for creating all new Forbes Advisor web pages and optimising existing pages via the CMS across the numerous Forbes Advisor properties. This is in order to meet customer needs and ultimately deliver the business SEO strategy.
The team has grown quickly and continues to do so, producing 1200+ pieces of content per month, with new areas of responsibility arriving regularly.
This role is fundamental to the business’ success, ensuring we are able to publish content quickly, accurately and to a high standard first time. We are seeking a talented individual to help Forbes Marketplace to best leverage and scale our content production capabilities across one of Marketplace’s newest personal finance channels.
A typical day in the life of a Content Producer Trainee involves working with the team management to understand content briefs and using Wordpress to build or optimise pages to meet those requirements in a fast and accurate manner.

Key Delivery Objectives
Quickly develop Forbes Advisor Wordpress knowledge
Rapidly build your knowledge in our customised Wordpress system to a point where you’re able to deliver any formatting task that comes into the team across different product types and page templates. You will be assigned a set of channels to focus and specialise in but will be required to help out on other channels should the need arise. You will also be expected to support individuals on the team with any publishing issues they face.
Independently publish a range of content types at pace and to a high standard
Publish a range of content at pace and with very few errors. Attention to detail is vital and is the cornerstone of what the team stands for. You will be expected to uphold this in the work you produce.
You will be required to publish multiple pieces of content per day, often concurrently. Working closely with various individuals across the team.
You will be expected to meet the daily quota of production asks assigned to you.
Raise CMS issues and problems with the team management
You will be expected to identify and raise any issues you encounter with the CMS to team management so that these can be logged with the technology teams for fixing.
Deliver publishing support for other team members
You will be expected to deliver help and support to other team members if they encounter CMS issues. This should develop over time as you gradually build expertise in the system.
Skills and Experience
We’re a team of 25 and growing so we need people who can work in an agile manner and juggle multiple priorities concurrently across many different product types.
Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential. You don’t necessarily need CMS experience but it is desirable.
We’re looking for someone who has a glint in their eye, is passionate about learning how to use our CMS and wants to grasp the opportunity this role presents. You must be able to work independently but also function as part of a larger team who are all working towards a common goal.
A high level of attention to detail is also vital. The pages you create should have very few, if any errors.
Development skills are not a must but an awareness of technologies such as HTML, CSS and Javascript is advantageous.
SEO knowledge isn’t a must but we are looking for someone who understands the fundamentals and their importance to a website's success.
You must also be a good communicator, confident to ask questions when needed and reach out for support.
