Senior Digital Reporter (Cricket)

As our Senior Digital Reporter - Cricket, you will craft and edit exclusive, original and high-quality content that supports FOX SPORTS mantra as Australia’s sports entertainment leader that takes fans closer to the game.

You will play an influential role in creating storytelling concepts and producing material that further entrenches FOX SPORTS’ reputation as an innovative and dynamic media business. Taking guidance from the Lead Editor & Production Operations Manager you will deliver video content that is timely, relevant, visually arresting and expertly illustrates our editorial position on a daily basis. You set standards instead of following them and produce material that comfortably sits on FOX SPORTS CHANNELS. You will set the tone for content across multiple distribution platforms ensuring a continuity of experience that is entertaining, informative & editorially sound.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to...

Differentiate Fox Sports from competing sports and media outlets by producing high quality, bespoke content across our range of broadcast and digital platforms
Editing of stories, features and archive material as required
Editing of promotion & archival material as required
Creation of fresh and engaging material in a unique format that establishes Fox Sports News as the benchmark in Sports entertainment
Manage all associated archived media as well as including all production based elements.
Establish, maintain and manage clear and organised project structures.
Quality checking of vision and audio on all edits, ensuring required standards are met utilising broadcast standard monitoring devices
Liaise with Producers and Executive Producers to develop a style and tone that is consistent with the FOX SPORTS brand and aspirations
Liaise with other departments as required
Provide editorial and technical support to the wider editing team
An understanding of sports and media broadcasting concepts and values

Your background should include:

5 years + experienced journalist with a strong focus on digital/video and multi-platform storytelling
Passionate about major sports rules and formats including international codes
Detailed understanding of editing techniques utilising AVID non-linear equipment in a variety of resolutions inc UHD
Editing techniques utilising Adobe Premiere Pro non-linear equipment in a variety of resolutions inc UHD
Effective media management via Interplay and MAM style systems
Sound understanding of DaVinci Resolve and colouring and grading techniques
Sound understanding of audio mixing and delivery as required
Experience on IPD editing platform highly desirable
An understanding of content delivery and workflows, including streaming platforms
Sound leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff
A desire to push boundaries and think better, different, special in our storytelling efforts
You are a team player, proactive and most importantly can hustle working across a number of sports and moments at one time
A Bachelor degree in Journalism, PR, Communications or similar
