Freelance Writer

The Office of Communications for the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee is seeking qualified freelance writers to assist in spreading the great news of the diocese. Freelance writers will write about events, parishes and people who are sharing their faith in the diocese for the Catholic Compass.

Articles would be submitted to Kanobia Russell-Blackmon, the editor of the Catholic Compass, on an agreed upon date and include 500 words plus.

The requirements for this position are as follows:

Strong writer with excellent note-taking skills
Familiar with AP style
Excellent interpersonal skills
Comfortable interviewing individuals throughout the diocese
Available to cover events that take place during evenings and weekend when necessary
