The FT is seeking an experienced journalist to lead its coverage of global wealth and wealth management.

The ideal candidate will be able to produce daily and thematic coverage that delves into how the fortunes of the world’s richest individuals and families are invested and managed - from philanthropy and trophy assets to smart financial moves.

Of interest is how this wealth was acquired, maintained and its impact on wider society. The role will require building sources and getting to know the industry that caters to servicing the wealthy.

As the Wealth editor you will also be responsible for commissioning and executing around six editions a year of the FT Wealth magazine. As part of the role, you will also be responsible for coordinating and contributing to our FT Wealth Management Hub.

Your skills

Familiarity with finance and a record of helping tell stories about wealth and related issues in the most compelling ways. International experience in markets beyond the UK would also be advantageous.

This is a role that requires thoughtful planning to prepare and execute the FT Wealth magazine in a timely manner. The role also requires close collaboration with correspondents around the world and the ability to come up with ways that they can work together on story

How we work

Our hybrid setup means staff are expected to come into the office 3 days a week.

Our office is located across the street from St. Paul's Cathedral and is easily accessible from all corners of London. There are the main train terminals such as Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Blackfriars, City Thameslink or Waterloo all situated within walking distance or there are several tube stations within a few mins walk such as Mansion House (District or Circle line), St. Paul's (Central line), Bank (Central or Waterloo & City line) or Barbican (Central, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines).
