We have a fantastic position open for the right person at the White Mountain Independent in Show Low, Arizona. Local news is what’s lacking in America today, and we are here to cover it. If you’re looking to work hard covering local government from the city council to school boards then you’re in the right place. If you can write feature stories and take photographs, you are probably the person we’re looking for. We are local, local, local and we don’t run wire news. Instead, we produce 100% of our copy. We want to add a member to our team who can find the people behind the issues and beyond the typical talking heads. We are the local news team recording the history of our community. Experience with pagination and InDesign is a strong plus, as we'll also need someone to occasionally back up the copy desk. The White Mountain Independent is a family-owned news leader in the beautiful White Mountains of northern Arizona.
