The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm’s distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm’s relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm’s evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm’s social and sustainability agendas.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Corporate Communications team within the Executive Office of Goldman Sachs seeks to protect and enhance the firm's culture, brand and reputation. The Associate role is an important position within the Corporate Communications team, helping to develop and implement a range of media strategies and communications tools in support of the firm’s businesses.

Whether communicating with employees, managing our brand, or articulating our strategy to investors and analysts, our work directly impacts how the firm is viewed by a variety of crucial stakeholders. You'll be part of a team of excellent communicators who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with a passion for what they do. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop press releases, talking points, briefings and written materials
- Manage the distribution of firm content across divisions to media stakeholders
- Contribute to media monitoring, analysis and reporting processes to provide timely updates and insights to senior leadership
- Contribute to strategic communication planning for divisional leadership, the Executive Office and global marketing  
- Collaborate with other Executive Office functions to handle corporate issues for the firm in a holistic manner
- Help develop strategies and execute proactive media engagement programs across the firm’s business areas
- Work with colleagues across the firm and around the world - on reputational issues and on strategic projects

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

- Strong written and verbal skills with a demonstrable passion for communications and the media
- Knowledge of the media landscape
- 4-8 years of experience preferred, agency or a corporate PR experience a plus
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for the financial services marketplace and the products and processes of the firm
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, often under time pressure, while maintaining high standards and attention to detail
- Enthusiastic – high energy, high integrity, team-oriented with a well-organized “can do” approach
