Duties:
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
- Develop and write grant proposals to secure funding for programs and projects.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data necessary for grant applications.
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's mission, programs, and goals.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of grants, including tracking deadlines, submitting reports, and maintaining accurate records.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in grant writing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts.
- Familiarity with fundraising strategies and techniques.
- Knowledge of program development and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in using databases and software such as Raiser's Edge for donor management.
- Excellent research skills to identify potential funding sources.
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in grant proposals.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
