Grant Writer

Dior Consultants LLC, a MWBE-Certified Organization located in Staten Island, NY. We are a full-service education-based company that specialize in training educators, students, and community leaders from a restorative justice approach. We emphasize the importance of conflict mediation, cultural competency, authentic student engagement, peer mediation, meaningful parent engagement, and personal and social accountability. We are looking for a Grant Writer who will be tasked to identify, define and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to City, Federal, State, and private funding agencies.

```Duties```
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from various sources
- Develop and write compelling grant proposals to secure funding for the organization
- Collaborate with other staff to gather information and data needed for grant applications
- Create budgets and financial reports to accompany grant proposals
- Edit and revise grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with funder requirements.

```Experience```
- Proven experience in program development, contract, or grant writing
- Strong financial report writing skills, including budgeting and financial analysis
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Ability to conduct thorough research and gather relevant information for proposal development
- Proficient in technical writing and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated success in writing winning grant proposals and securing funding
- City and State sourcing
- Familiarity with databases used for tracking grants and donor information
