Multimedia Journalist

WPTA is looking for a Multimedia Journalist. Multimedia journalists (MMJs) at WPTA are on the front lines of news-gathering and reporting dynamic written content for WPTA's newscasts, website, social media, and apps. We're looking for someone who can work quickly on breaking news and also has the creativity to tell a good story. We value strong journalism and an atmosphere where we all learn and grow daily through respect and collaboration. You will receive coaching and encouragement from veteran journalists in the newsroom and through Gray Television. This is a great place to develop your skills as a journalist.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Pitch well-researched enterprise stories daily during editorial meetings
Shoot, write, edit, and present news stories
Develop a "digital first" mindset to creatively share content on multiple platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:

Strong writing skills
Ability to shoot, write, and edit on deadline
Strong understanding of digital media
Four-year college degree
