Are you a clinician looking for a career change? Or an established writer that enjoys working with medical and healthcare content?
If you have a clinical or life science qualification, a talent for communication, and a desire to combine your healthcare knowledge and writing skills, this role represents a rare opportunity to join an industry-leading healthcare communications agency.
Sound like you? Then let us tell you a bit about us.
Wellmark is a Melbourne-based creative agency that specialises in healthcare. Despite being a small(ish) agency, we're known around the world – and we're just about to celebrate our 25th birthday. What's more, we're located in the heart of Richmond, around the corner from the train station, shops and cafes of Swan St.
So who are we looking for, exactly? We need someone who can:
interpret scientific data for both professionals and lay people
develop content in a variety of different styles and formats (including online)
understand the clinical context
grasp technical concepts quickly
liaise comfortably with clients about clinical, medical and scientific information
write under pressure and to deadline
understand and respond to specific briefs
be factually correct and creative at the same time
take the lead on communications projects
develop an understanding of brand and marketing concepts
learn to think strategically
work well in a creative team and as part of an agency environment.
For this role, you need:
a degree in the life sciences
strong organisational skills
well-developed writing skills (as demonstrated by writing test)
a passion for developing medical and healthcare content (highly promotional through to highly technical).
