Hearst Journalism Fellowship Program, Developer Track

The Hearst Fellowship, Data+Development Track is a one-year program focusing on journalism in a changing digital world. The successful candidate will embed on our central engineering and development team (the DevHub) based in San Francisco and will work on projects, tools and news products for our top metro papers: The San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News, (Albany) Times Union and our Hearst Connecticut newsrooms. Fellows will receive training, mentoring and real-world experience alongside top journalist-programmers who use cutting-edge tools and strategies to tell stories. Hearst Fellows are full-time employees with competitive salary and benefits, including health insurance, relocation allowance and a housing stipend.
