Our assistant editors are core to everything we do. Acting as key components in the central nervous system of a unique, multi-discipline post-production powerhouse, you will be tasked with understanding and executing both creative and technical responsibilities in the post-production lifecycle. We expect you to not only know the how’s of the job, but even more importantly learn the why’s, as you apply your broad knowledge of workflow and best practice excellence across a myriad of complex job types and milestones. Applicants with high attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple tasks at once without letting vital team communications slip through the cracks, and an interest in continually contributing to and perfecting SOP will excel in this role. We need proactive thinkers who give honest feedback and strive for greatness. Sense of humor a must!

Opportunity within this role:

Footage/music search, QC, convert, ingest, sync, and organize project media
Develop expertise in delivery formats and platform destinations, including final QC
Support editor throughout the life of the project
Team with Studio Support to understand and maintain project folder hierarchy & setup
Maintain a close circle of comms with Producers to ensure timely delivery on projects
Spearhead project wrap efforts to facilitate archival of critical client data
Ability to balance independent and managed workflows, often switching between both
Know how to troubleshoot a problem and describe an issue clearly to post tech teams
Comfortable working both on-site and remotely

What you should know:

1+ years’ experience using Premiere, Avid Media Composer, and After Effects ideally within the commercial, advertising or relatable content space
Experience using other Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator as they pertain to video editing
Proficiency with accelerated file transfer utilities such as Media Shuttle, Aspera, etc.
Video standards, specs & formats (image rasters, frame rates, codecs, audio, etc.)
Verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge and use of Social Media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook
Bonus points for those with understanding of color science, conform workflows, and knowledge of Davinci Resolve, C4D, Autodesk Flame, and Pro
Bachelor’s Degree in Film/Television Production or other equivalent related work Experience is always welcome

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000 – $75,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
