Editorial Web Internship

Hour Detroit is seeking an intern to assist the digital content coordinator, who oversees hourdetroit.com. Responsibilities include building stories and photo galleries, writing web stories, assisting with projects related to analytics, creating a digital content calendar, pitching story ideas, and more.

Requirements: The ideal candidate is a college junior or senior pursuing a degree in journalism or related field; those with relevant coursework and experience will also be considered. Candidates must be proficient in grammar and spelling, write clearly, possess good organizational skills, and be detail oriented. They should work calmly under deadline pressure. Previous experience working with Photoshop, InDesign, and a content management system (preferably WordPress) is ideal.

Note: This is an unpaid internship. Interns are required to receive school credit.
