Associate Staff Writer, Cleaning and Emergency Prep

Wirecutter is seeking an associate staff writer to take on coverage of products and advice for the topics of cleaning and emergency preparation–taking ownership of our existing material, expanding our coverage into related areas, and building a comprehensive suite of recommendations to address reader needs. Coverage areas range from no-nonsense daily needs to serious life or death scenarios, and the job carries the responsibility to report the most accurate, complete, representative, thorough, and reliable advice. Working on this material brings the opportunity to do some unforgettable reporting, and you will develop tremendously as a writer as you cultivate one of the most diverse, interesting, wide-ranging source pools of any topic at Wirecutter. As an associate staff writer, you will report directly to a senior editor, working on a small team. This role has the potential to be remote.
