Business Insider is hiring a paid editorial fellow for to write about technology startups and tech investors from our San Francisco office. The fellow's start date will be in summer 2021. Fellows on our VC/tech startups team write about technology company founders who imagine new ways of learning, communicating, traveling, buying things, keeping homes safe, creating videos in three dimensions, and making mobile devices and the apps used on them, to name just a few possibilities. The founders of these startup companies need funding to bring their ideas to life. The money often comes from venture capital firms, or “VCs.’’ Our fellows tell the stories of fledgling tech companies and their financial backers in various ways, including profiles, news features, and slide shows. They work alongside expert reporters and editors as they research topics, develop story ideas, pitch them to editors, and write news briefs or longer articles. Fellows also have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile stories and collaborate across the newsroom.
