COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING ADMINISTRATOR, Gordon Engineering Leadership Program (GEL) and Riccio Graduate Engineering Leadership Program (GradEL) , to contribute to and implement communications and marketing activities for both programs, engage with students for recruitment, and present at events. Will be responsible for editorial design and the production and distribution of program publications; creating and implementing overall communications strategy and serving as a representative of the programs; developing original content and coordinating events and campaigns; developing creative branding, marketing, collateral content, and presentations for meetings for internal and external audiences; developing content for print and digital communications and campaigns across multi-media; managing copyright requirements; tracking smaller scale project budgets; interacting with vendors; interviewing prospective student applicants during annual admissions; supporting fundraising efforts; and collaborating across the Technical Leadership and Communication Programs (TLC) to enhance the organization’s visibility and support its objectives.
REQUIRED : three years of professional work experience in communications or related field, including writing and editing for both print and electronic publications; bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field; demonstrated experience in social media and marketing efforts for an organization; experience with digital communications and with website and content management systems; excellent judgment, organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills; ability to develop strong and effective working relationships and to build rapport with diverse stakeholder groups; and interest in engaging with students and supporting their professional development. PREFERRED : experience in higher education, student affairs, or relevant field; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing software, and social media management tools; and experience with MIT systems and SAP.
