Markets and Thematic Investment Writer

Do you possess a proven background in either investment writing/content or financial journalism, good investment knowledge, excellent writing and editing skills?Do you have knowledge of macro, fixed income and key investment themes?

We are looking for an Investment writer, responsible for :

researching, writing and editing investment content, key messaging, blogs, thought leadership, macro commentary and content for the web, campaigns and occasionally marketing material and presentations.
content topics will cover macro, markets, fixed income and indexing.
building relationships with key investment and client coverage stakeholders.
maintaining up-to-date knowledge of key industry trends and issues in markets.

Your team

This role is based in London and reports directly to the Head of Content Marketing who is also based in London. Aside from working with the global AM marketing team you will also be working in collaboration with AM’s wider sales and investment teams. We are looking for a Senior Investment Writer to focus on macro, fixed income and key investment themes. Sustainability and ESG-related assignments will also be a focus. The successful candidate will be able to combine creativity with the technical nature of the role.

Your expertise

experience in investment writing, financial journalism or a similar role within the finance industry (asset management is a plus)
relevant degree in economics or finance
intuitively grasps the importance of a holistic content framework that spans the entire spectrum of brand awareness and marketing deliverables
proven experience in writing and editing economic and industry analysis, preferably within a financial services organization or within financial journalism
knowledge of macroeconomics combined with a background and keen interest in financial markets
strong research and analytical skills
highly organized and collaborative
ability to convey information with clarity while maintaining integrity of contributors’ input
