Freelance Content Editor

Ignite Visibility is an award-winning and fast-growing digital marketing agency in sunny San Diego with a fully remote team. We are seeking an experienced Freelance Content Editor for 12-16 week full time project with us. The Content Editor is responsible for owning and managing copy edits for various internal and external clients and industries daily.

Essential Functions

Edit and proofread all written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity
Fact-check all content to ensure accuracy
Ensure that all content meets the client’s style guide and is aligned with the company's marketing goals
Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the quality and effectiveness of content
Manage the editorial calendar and ensure that all content is produced on time
Monitor web traffic and user engagement to track the effectiveness of content
Deliver all completed work to the account team
Create and maintain client-specific content guidelines
Attend client calls when needed
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

3+ years of editing experience with a focus on SEO writing best practices
3+ years of agency experience is desired
BA in English, Journalism, Communication or a related field is desired
Proficient with Google Docs or related software
Experience with Monday.com
