Job Description
PharmaVoice is looking for an ambitious, curious and creative journalist who’s excited to cover the life sciences.
In this role, you will make an immediate impact as you report on the voices, ideas and innovations pushing the’’ pharma industry forward. You will work closely with your team to interview thought leaders and newsmakers; write trend pieces, Q&As and other engaging feature stories; and help edit content and produce our daily newsletter.
This beat will enable journalists to delve into the biggest trends and issues in the life sciences. You will own your beat by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and consistently staying on top of what’s most important to the audience. You will pitch and report original stories on a daily basis. You will also have regular editing and newsletter production responsibilities.
This position reports to the lead editor.
Qualifications
What you can bring to the table:
At least 1-3 years of experience in journalism
At least 1-3 years of experience reporting and working in a newsrooms
A proven track record of strong writing and reporting skills
Deep curiosity about healthcare and the life sciences
Aptitude for building source relationships to advance original reporting
Experience pitching to and working collaboratively with an editor
Ability to write under deadline in a fast-paced environment
We’d Love It If You Had The Following
Some experience covering healthcare and the life sciences
A strong track record of writing enterprise stories that go beyond the news and advance broader narratives
Familiarity with business journalism and an ability to interpret business concepts
An interest in developing skills as an editor
Familiarity and interest in social media engagement and audience analytic
Additional Information
The salary range for this role 60,000 - 70,000 USD depending on experience.
