The reporter will cover the impact of federal policy on colleges, their employees and their students; how federal agency policies and Congressional actions both support institutions and hold them accountable; and the slow erosion of higher education as a bipartisan priority. Inside Higher Ed engages in authoritative journalism that provides a mix of news, enterprise and analysis. Our reporters mix beat reporting, analysis and creative approaches to telling stories; candidates should be able to juggle multiple articles at once, and should like to dig deeply and to learn. Candidates should have at least three years of full-time professional reporting experience; a background covering technology (for the technology position) and/or higher education is a plus.
