Associate Weekend Editor

Insider is hiring an associate weekend editor in the UK to help run the newsdesk at weekends. As associate weekend editor, you will work with our UK-based weekend team, which includes reporters and editors from the news, business, and life divisions. On an average day, you could expect to assign, write and edit stories on a wide range of topics from all three divisions, from foreign affairs to airline chaos to celebrity news. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the daily news cycle, comfortable working with a variety of story formats, and have a knack for telling stories in a relatable and compelling way that readers love. This role will be varied, fast-paced, and will require you to coordinate with Insider's global team. The position reports to the senior weekend news editor and runs on a Wednesday to Sunday schedule.
