Big Tech Reporting Fellow

Insider is hiring a paid editorial fellow to write about the world’s largest tech companies and the people behind them. The fellow's start date will be in January 2023. The Big Tech team fellow would write about companies like Meta, Google, Amazon and Apple and their vast impacts on society and the workforce they employ. From social platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Snap’s efforts to gain more Gen Z users, to the competitive landscape for YouTube and Google, and Big Tech’s expansion to international markets, and beyond. There is flexibility for the fellow to follow their reporting interests in Big Tech. Our fellows tell the stories of the fast-evolving Big Tech industry and the people behind it in various ways, including profiles, news features, and slide shows. They work alongside expert reporters and editors as they research topics, develop story ideas, pitch them to editors, and write news briefs or longer articles. Fellows also have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile stories and collaborate across the newsroom. We are accepting and reviewing applications on a rolling basis.
