Insider is hiring a producer to join our News & Documentary video team.

Our News & Documentary team works to fulfill that mission by producing impactful and fascinating video stories.

The Role & Team:

As a producer, you will write scripts for our Insider News page on YouTube and other social media platforms, and our website. You will also help edit videos and produce studio and field shoots, and direct talent.

This role reports directly to the Senior Managing Producer for the team and sits on the larger News & Documentary video team. This role will work partially out of the New York City office and will be union-eligible.

Key Required Skills:

The highest journalism standards and a sharp eye for fact-checking and accuracy.
Conversational script writing style.
A keen eye for story selection, headline writing and sharp story angles.
A passion for analyzing and monitoring success with audiences across platforms.
Strong skills in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and other Adobe software is a plus.
A commitment to fair and inclusive storytelling.
3+ years of experience producing videos.

The Ideal Candidate Also Has:

A record of writing conversational scripts for successful YouTube videos.
Sharp interviewing skills.
Strong news judgment and a passion for current events.
The ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team.
An eye for finding strong visuals and getting creative with found footage and original graphics is a must.
A familiarity with our work and eagerness to learn our conversational style.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $70,500 - $80,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
