Description: ICFJ is looking to add to its global staff by hiring a Resident Investigative Journalism Editor to lead a five-year, multimillion-dollar program in Southeast Asia focused on building investigative journalism networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investigative reporting, have worked extensively in the Asia-Pacific region and be an effective manager with experience leading editorial teams and complex, multi-year projects.
The Editor will work closely with ICFJ management and local partners in identifying key objectives, designing a project plan and monitoring and evaluation plans for this five-year, regional initiative. The program aims to strengthen the local capacity of investigative journalists, foster and develop strong networks - and increase collaboration among Asian investigative journalists and newsrooms. The goal: to produce high-quality, cross-border investigative stories of regional and global importance regarding trans-border crime and corruption that promote greater government accountability.
The editor will oversee the intricate logistical and editorial details of the project from inception to implementation. This role will oversee in-country staff members.
