Investigative Reporter

InvestigateWest is seeking a bilingual investigative reporter to cover migrant labor and other equity- and labor-related issues in the Pacific Northwest.

Location: Live anywhere in the Northwest (WA, OR or ID)

Beat: Migrant labor and equity issues in Pacific Northwest

Position: The Pacific Northwest is home to numerous rural agricultural communities that depend on migrants and other vulnerable workers. This beat focuses on the unique challenges many workers confront, including exploitation, dangerous working conditions and other abuses of power. The reporter will also cover issues related to equity and labor.

Salary: $48,000-$64,000

Benefits: 100% employer-paid health insurance, 50% of dental, retirement contribution, a work computer, three weeks of vacation, 11 paid holidays and a monthly work-from-home stipend of $100. A small relocation stipend is available for applicants outside of the Northwest.
