We are seeking a Content Writer to join JP Morgan in London on an initial 6 months contract to help develop high-impact, customer-centric content for a new app and other innovative technology products. This is a greenfield project and we are seeking candidates with previous experience creating content for apps ideally from similar size organisation or regulated environment.
Our content is designed to be customer-focused while also supporting our relying parties; help our business development teams acquire, retain and deepen relationships and serve our overall business objectives. You will work closely with our product, product marketing, UX and BD teams. You will also translate complex, technical ideas as per the customer requirements, as they are consuming content through a variety of digital platforms. You will have a proven track record of producing timely, relevant and buzzworthy content for key audiences across multiple channels - with metrics to show for it.
You should be creative, strategic and approach storytelling with sharp angles, originality and points of differentiation.
Job responsibilities
Produce engaging written content tailored to a digital-friendly audience.
Ensure content adheres to control, audit, legal and compliance requirements.
Originate writing that's clear, concise, and strategic - short-form and occasionally long-form articles.
Adapt messaging by channel - digital (web and email), social, video, infographics.
Integrate search engine optimization.
Strategic repurposing: adapt previously written content for distribution to different client segments or audiences.
Become versed in brand standards and customer segments (needs, motivations, challenges, and voice) and tailor voice and messaging for different audience segments.
Use data and performance metrics to understand what content resonates and use learnings to inform future content.
Own the editorial process to drive consistency in messaging and delivery.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
Superior editorial and storytelling skills with a staunch commitment to quality.
Excellent grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation.
Experience in financial services, payments or technology is mandatory.
Understanding of how to strategically adapt, tailor and refine voice, tone and message - by targeted audience segments and channel - to measurably increase audience engagement and improve the client experience.
Grasp of SEO best practices.
Journalistic ability to think analytically to get to the heart of the story, understand and convey the main points clearly, succinctly and on-brand, at a level appropriate to the target audience.
Exceptional communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills with the ability to use storytelling to influence decisions, foster collaborative relationships, and effectively partner across teams, functions and levels.
Demonstrated writing and editing skills across a variety of content types and formats. You live for punchy copy and headlines that drive action.
Excellent writing, copyediting and fact-finding skills. You love driving consistency, can own a house style guide, and would lose sleep over missing punctuation .
Ability to work independently with good follow-up and follow-through, as well as calmly and efficiently under pressure and with interruptions while prioritizing and balancing multiple deadlines.

Experience as a professional content writer/editor, digital copywriter or journalist.
