Data journalist

The Kansas City Business Journal is looking for someone with skills to conduct extensive local research and unlock the stories inside. The data journalist is challenged with compiling — and continually improving — our weekly lists and writing stories based on in-house and external databases.
This specialist also works with colleagues throughout the newsroom, whether teaming with other reporters on complex stories or working with designers to tell number-driven stories graphically.
