Content Writer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Content Writer in Redmond, WA. Typical Day in the Role: This team is dedicated to empowering innovative startups and driving digital transformation. We are seeking a talented and passionate Blog Writer to join our dynamic team. As a Blog Writer, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders, curate compelling content, and interview startup founders, showcasing their stories on a global platform. Key projects:

Working with AI Start-ups, working with the SME's to help them edit and interview with potential AI start-ups

Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: Content Creation:

Develop engaging and informative blog posts that highlight the achievements, challenges, and innovations of startups within the ecosystem
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights, industry trends, and key messages to create impactful content

Interview Coordination

Conduct interviews with startup founders to extract compelling narratives and insights
Work closely with the startup community to understand their unique stories and bring them to life through written content

Editing And Proofreading

Collaborate with internal teams to refine and enhance the quality of written materials

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and technical experts, to gather information and insights for blog content
Foster relationships with startup founders, community leaders, and internal stakeholders

Content Publishing

Manage the end-to-end process of content creation, from drafting and editing to publishing on relevant platforms
Stay up to date with SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
2+ years of previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a startup or technology-focused environment
2+ years of experience demonstrated writing and editing experience (deadlines, etc.)
2+ years of experience some technical depth, (cloud technologies, AI), no technical architecture but at least a broad understanding
2+ years of experience strong interviewing skills and the ability to extract compelling stories from diverse personalities

Best vs. Average:

Proven experience in blog writing, content creation, or a related field
Proficiency in editing and proofreading content for clarity and coherence
Strong interviewing skills and the ability to extract compelling stories from diverse personalities
Familiarity with the startup ecosystem and an understanding of technology trends
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
