Sports and Recreation Reporter Wanted

Larson Newspapers is seeking a full-time sports and recreation reporter at the Sedona Red Rock News, The Camp Verde Journal and the Cottonwood Journal Extra located in the Verde Valley of Northern Arizona, 45 minutes south of Flagstaff and two hours north of Phoenix. A journalism degree required; experience working at a newspaper is preferred. Knowledge of AP Style required. The sports beat includes high school and community sports stories in Sedona, Cottonwood and Camp Verde and trail, mountain biking and outdoor recreation stories in Sedona, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Clarkdale, Jerome, Cornville, Rimrock, Lake Montezuma, Village of Oak Creek and Oak Creek Canyon. We have two full-time photojournalists, but photography skills are a plus. Basic social media posting of news content to also preferred. Larson Newspapers is an independent family-owned newspaper that has served Sedona and the Verde Valley since 1963. Reporters can choose to live anywhere in the Verde Valley (Cornville, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Clarkdale, Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek, Oak Creek Canyon, Page Springs, Rimrock, Jerome or Lake Montezuma).
