Frost Law is seeking an experienced legal writer. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the legal industry, with a focus on tax law. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who has excellent legal research and writing skills.
Frost Law is comprised of skilled tax attorneys, business attorneys, litigation attorneys, estates attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Certified Financial Planners, and other tax professionals. Frost Law specializes in tax law but also has active practices in bankruptcy, estates, business, employment, and civil litigation. Responsibilities
Track cases, legislation, regulations, and other legal developments for relevance to tax law (primarily) and other legal fields (to a lesser extent)
Research, write, edit, and report
Update already-published legal content
Maintain a sophisticated level of knowledge of issues in the relevant legal field(s)
Act as backup to the Director of Legal Analysis
Develop and maintain sources and professional contacts
Use electronic resources and other tools to perform the job effectively
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Must Have
Experience with legal research, analysis, and writing (2 years minimum in a professional capacity)
JD (preferred) with tax focus (Tax LL.M. or CPA)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
A thorough understanding of English grammar and rules of writing
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Understanding of PR and media formats, including social media
